1. Who We Are
Wisage (“we,” “us,” “our”) is headquartered in Alberta, Canada.
Privacy contact: support@wisageapp.com
2. What We Collect and Why
Account information
- Email address, name, age, and gender
- Used to create and maintain your account, verify subscription status, and provide support
- Stored until you delete your account or 30 days after your account becomes inactive
Face data (your photos)
- You provide two photos (front and side). We use them only to generate a cosmetic preview (skin & hair enhancement only) and to create your written report (scores, comments, insights, action plan).
- We do not create or store biometric identifiers or facial geometry templates (“faceprints”), and we do not perform identity recognition.
- Your photos are not used for advertising, marketing, or unrelated model training.
Storage & processors for face data
- Stored on AWS S3 in us-east-2 with encryption at rest; transmitted over TLS.
- Processed solely to deliver the requested features by our contracted image/AI processors (collectively, “Image Processors”). Image Processors act on our instructions and may not use your images for their own purposes.
Retention & deletion
- If you do not tap Save: the side-face photo is deleted from our storage within 24 hours of processing (or sooner).
- If you do tap Save: your front-face photo and generated results remain in your account until you delete them or delete your account.
- Image Processors maintain short retention windows for operational security/abuse prevention (typically ~24 hours up to 30 days, depending on the provider).
- Server diagnostics (e.g., IP/device logs) rotate after ~30 days.
Transparency about processors
- We maintain a current list of Image Processors and will provide it upon request via the in-app support channel. We will update this list before adding or replacing processors where required by law.
Other images
- All photos provided are used but not all are saved.
- Used once for analysis and suggestions.
- Never saved to permanent storage; they are removed immediately after processing.
Device and diagnostic data
- IP address, device model, operating-system version, crash reports, and usage events
- Used for security, fraud prevention, and app improvement
- Stored in rotating server logs for 30 days
Subscription metadata
- Apple transaction ID and Product ID provided by RevenueCat and StoreKit
- Used to confirm your active plan and unlock pay-walled features
- Retained for as long as your account exists
Wisage does not intentionally collect sensitive categories such as race or sexual orientation, and we never store payment-card details (Apple handles all payments).
3. How We Share Data
We share only the minimum information required with strictly limited processors:
- Cloud storage providers (for secure image storage)
- AI service providers (for image analysis and enhancement)
- Payment and subscription management providers (for billing and account verification)
These vendors act solely as processors and do not re-use your data. We do not sell or share data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
4. International Transfers
Data may be transferred to Canada or the United States. Transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
5. Security Measures
All data in transit is protected by TLS 1.2 or higher. Images and backups are encrypted at rest with AES-256. Staff access is role-based and logged.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Access: Email us to request a copy of your data.
- Deletion: Use Settings → Delete Account to erase saved images and account data within 24 hours.
- Withdrawal of consent: Delete your account and uninstall the app to stop further processing.
- If you refuse the camera permission you may still upload from your photo library. Refusing both camera and library access prevents any image processing and disables analysis features.
7. Children
The Service is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors; any such accounts will be removed.
8. Moderation Policy
Automatic image and text filters block nudity, minor exploitation, hate content, illegal material, and other objectionable uploads. Users can report content in-app; flagged items are reviewed within 24 hours. Repeat offenders are banned.
9. Changes to This Policy
Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least seven days before they take effect.
10. EU 14-Day Withdrawal Waiver
During purchase you are asked to confirm: “I request immediate access and understand I lose my 14-day withdrawal right.” By giving that consent you waive the statutory cooling-off period once delivery begins.

10. Limitation of Liability
Wisage’s total liability arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed CAD 500. In no event will Wisage be liable for indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
- Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts located in Calgary, Alberta, except as provided in the arbitration clause below.
- Binding arbitration: Except for small-claims matters that either party may bring in the user’s local small-claims court, all disputes shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration under the ADRIC Arbitration Rules in Calgary.
- Class-action waiver: Disputes must be brought individually, not as part of any class or representative action.
- Opt-out: You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@wisageapp.com.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wisage and its affiliates against any losses or claims arising from your content or violation of these Terms.
13. Miscellaneous
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Wisage’s failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger or acquisition.
